Artist Statement

The allure of using sustainable materials, many found in their natural habitat, is my muse. Foraging for materials while trekking through mangroves or trudging through over grown fields searching for that extraordinary find that speaks of authenticity and sustainability continues to nourish my soul. This connection to nature keeps me intrigued with processes that are akin to alchemy. Working with many types of fiber that have the quality of transforming heightens this fascinating process. In my world, “Magic is afoot”!
