Rose-colored glasses are for fools who want to live a lie

People who are stubbornly determined that people, life or they get better

They are for those who will claim a glass is half-full

When it's actually 3/4 empty

It's for those who hold desperately to hope

Thinking it's their saving grace

And it's for those who can't let go of the past

And are determined to find happiness again

May they wear those glasses with care

Because life will take them off soon enough

By grabbing them by the shoulders and punching reality into their face
