About Artist

Basic Information

  • Artist Statement

A Shreveport native, Luke Bullock grew up a student of the arts attending numerous programs for young artists over the years and developed a passion for creating. As an undergraduate he pursued advanced intaglio and lithography printmaking, and graphic design at ULM along with digital photography, experimental design, 3D modeling, and video production at LSUS. In 2006 Luke was accepted into the Digital Art & New Media graduate program at the University of California Santa Cruz where he completed his MFA studying cybernetics, participatory culture, and surveillance art.

As an artist Luke is interested in exploring the intersections of the analog and digital worlds that we live among and interact with in our emerging technological society. His recent work has been focused on procedural creation, mathematical reproduction and scalability in art via digital mediums that can be reproduced at any physical size using computer rendering and digital printing with no loss in detail.
